I have come in My Father's name, (Yeshua) and you do not receive Me;
if another comes in his own name,
him you will receive.
-John 5:43-
In John 5:43, Yeshua spoke prophetically in that Day to this Day. Ephatically, He knew men would reject that He came in His Father's Name (not names). Today men are still rejecting (not accepting) the Father's name given to Him at birth. Did Yeshua know His name would be compromised, replaced? Of course He did. It is important to know that the English language did NOT exist when our Hebrew Savior walked the earth and thus, in
no way could He be given an English name "Jesus." We personally grew up calling upon the English name never given to Him. The Father has been long suffering with us in ignorance for many centuries. Did this matter to the Father in heaven? "Absolutely." His prayer outlines how many times He cried to the Father "before" going to the cross to die for all believers. When we call upon the Hebrew name of our Savior, this does not mean we are separating the body of Christ Yeshua by any particular denomination, race, creed, or color. All believers must accept "WHO" our Hebrew Savior was and still is -- that's if you are truly following Him. He is the God of Israel.
When you read John 5:43, you'll find Yeshua speaking to the religious men in that Day to "this Day." He foreknew that those who came in their own authority would be accepted. He revealed the true motive of the religious men. He knew that men would seek human approval rather than receiving the glory of God. Sadly, not much has changed today. Without question, we have no doubt that "before" the return of Christ (Mashiach) that many will be "hallowing" His Holy Hebrew name without compromise. Upon His return, many will be calling upon His Hebrew name. The prayer our Savior prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane "before going to the cross" to die for our sins will be respected and accepted. Those who have accepted His Hebrew name will "hallow" it on this earth in a "holy oneness" in that hour. Let us never forget that His Hebrew name is connected to our salvation. His name means, "Yahweh is Salvation."
